Electrolysis is the only permanent method to remove hair approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and American Medical Association (AMA).
Electrolysis is the art of inserting a very fine probe into the hair follicle and then delivering a minimal amount of electric current to the root of the hair, cauterizing the Papilla. Providing the hair is in the anagen (active) phase of its growth, the result is the follicle can no longer produce hair.

Only IB (Insulated Bulbous) probes are used at Arizona Valley Electrolysis. Unlike the standard probe, the IB probe prevents the discharge of electric current along its shaft, so that it is concentrated only at the root of the follicle. The tip of the IB probe is un-insulated and slightly larger than the rest of the probe to ensure contact with the root. It further ensures that the probe cannot pierce the skin and only enters the skin through a natural entry point (the hair follicle). The result is the most effective method of permanent hair removal, with as little discomfort as possible, and no risk of permanent tissue damage.
Electrolysis is performed by treating and then removing a single hair at a time until the area is clear or desired results are achieved.
Electrolysis as permanent hair removal was invented in 1875 by Dr. Charles Michel and continues to be the most effective and permanent solution for hair removal.
